What we do ?
Our path has been shaped by various disciplines and practices. It has been more than 20 years of a beautiful journey in which we have been learning and growing together. We feel fortunate for everything we have received and learned, from the teachers who support us and the traditions that intertwine to give life to this retreat center.
Our way of expressing gratitude for all the medicine and wisdom that has come into our lives is manifested today in the creation of a space to share with others what has made us happy in this life.
Aikido and the expansion of energy at Daishizen
It all started with Aikido. Our encounter on the tatami was something that deeply connected us. This discipline from the East, full of circular forms and fluid movements, has been the foundation from which we have built what we are today.
The universe manifests itself in a very creative way, it has a way of speaking to us and indicating which path to follow.
Mysteriously, the aikido that came into our lives is one that emphasizes connection and energetic exchange among practitioners and does not focus on mechanics or martial effectiveness. Connection with space, the flow of Ki, and the expansion of the line are the elements we work with, and we invite you to explore what awakened this quest.
The path of our ancestors
After several years of exploration in aikido, the Red Road came into our lives, the medicine of the Native Americans. The encounter in Chile with Grandfather Raúl Gutiérrez from Mexico brought another dimension to our lives. Connection with nature, intuition, and the elements brought prayer and connection with spirits and original teachings.
It is through this path that we have been able to heal, first ourselves and then others.
The Red Road has allowed us to reconcile with Mother Earth and our ancestors, connect with the invisible world, and strengthen our prayer. The continuous practice of various ceremonies such as the Inipi (sweat lodge), the Sun Dance, and other ceremonies from different traditions has been fundamental in our formation and growth.
Aligning & expanding consciousness through Yoga
Like aikido, Yoga has been another pillar in our lives, complementing and reaffirming the work done with other arts. The encounter with true masters and discipline in practice has enhanced all aspects of our lives.
The energy of the Kundalini serpent and its form fit perfectly into the work we were already doing and enhance the understanding and depth of the wisdom acquired.
This type of yoga (Kundalini) focuses on energetic work, where breath, mantras, and asanas blend seamlessly to produce the necessary change and symbiosis with what was learned earlier.
Traditional chinese medicine and holistic therapies
Entering a path of personal growth and not Healing the wounds we carry prevents the development of our learning. It is of utmost importance that our body, mind, and emotions are balanced so that the other disciplines can produce their effects and do their work well.
We came to traditional Chinese medicine through aikido. A Chinese Buddhist monk, very close to one of our senseis (teachers), introduced us to and taught us this path. A master of tai chi, kung fu, and a carrier of the Chinese tradition, Dr. Kin was our mentor for more than 9 years.
This is where our study of various forms of healing began and motivated the exploration of other ways to help people. Today, we complement Eastern medicine with ceremonies from the Americas and other forms of healing to assist people in finding their own path of self-discovery.
